چکیده
The article deals with the innovative, cutting age solution within language testing realm, namely computer adaptive (CALT) in accordance NATO Standardization Agreement 6001 (NATO STANAG 6001) requirements for further implementation foreign training of personnel Armed Forces Ukraine (AF Ukraine) order to increase quality testing. research provides CALT method developed according and algorithm that contains three blocks: “Starting point”, “Item selection algorithm”, “Scoring algorithm” “Termination criterion”. has an ability, changing a complexity level, sequence number items answers test taker. comparative analysis results piloting paper-and-pencil (PPT) reading listening justifies effectiveness three-level method. It allows us determine following important benefits CALT: length reduction, control measurement accuracy, objective assessment, improved security, generation unique set items, ability algorithm, high motivation takers, immediate score reporting management. is qualitative effective tool takers’ proficiency level Defence Educational Enhancement Programme. acquires special value relevance context global COVID 19 pandemic.

Teaching approaches to Computer Assisted Language Learning
Computers have been used for language teaching ever since the 1960's.Learning a second language is a challenging endeavor, and, for decades now, proponents of computer assisted language learning (CALL) have declared that help is on the horison. We investigate the suitability of deploying speech technology in computer based systems that can be used to teach foreign language skills. In this case,...
متن کاملInteractive Graphics for Computer Adaptive Testing
Interactive graphics are commonly used in games and have been shown to be successful in attracting the general audience. Instead of computer games, animations, cartoons, and videos being used only for entertainment, there is now an interest in using interactive graphics for “innovative testing.” Rather than traditional pen-and-paper tests, audio, video and graphics are being conceived as altern...
متن کاملEvaluation parameters for computer-adaptive testing
With the proliferation of computers in test delivery today, adaptive testing has become quite popular, especially when examinees must be classified into two categories (pass/fail, master/nonmaster). Several well-established organisations have provided standards and guidelines for the design and evaluation of educational and psychological testing. The purpose of this paper was not to repeat the ...
متن کاملComputer Adaptive Testing and Cloud Computing
Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT) is an example of a Computer Based Test (CBT) and is one of the main trending topics in the area of knowledge testing and, more recently, in e–learning or in Intelligent Tutoring Systems scenarios. The Item Response Theory (IRT) defines the theoretical basis of a CAT implementation, which assumes the existence of a repository of properly calibrated items that is u...
متن کاملEvaluation of Computer Adaptive Testing Systems
Many educational organizations are trying to reduce the cost of the exams, the workload and delay of scoring, and the human errors. Also, they try to increase the accuracy and efficiency of the testing. Recently, most examination organizations use computer adaptive testing (CAT) as the method for large scale testing. This chapter investigates the current state of CAT systems and identifies thei...
